POLARIZING FILTERS IN AIR HANDLING UNITS
Polarization filters are composed of two screens enclosing a filter media inside. When a voltage of 9,000 volts is applied inside the filter media, an active electromagnetic field is generated that polarizes both the filter fibers and the particles suspended in the air flow. This process causes the particles to be attracted and retained by the polarized fibers, preventing their passage through the filter.
